The gorgeous stone abbey at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh, Scotland was everything I could ever dream of in terms of a romantic ruin full of history and whispers of ages past. It's definitely a place full of magic and wonder (and even murder and political intrigue!), and I took many photographs and wandered for long moments among the remnants of architectural glory and the lives of people who came long before us. Inspiring, and humbling!
